The ITBCA Hiring Day event was successfully held on Friday, September 9, 2022, from 15.30 to 17.00 WIB. This session was hosted by Jefri Tanwijaya, an ISTTS alumni from the Informatics department who is now working at BCA as an IT Specialist and IT System Infrastructure. First of all, Jefri gave a brief background about himself. Next, Jefri explained the stages of recruitment at BCA. There are 5 stages that will be followed in recruitment. The first is the administrative selection stage. Jefri gives tips in this regard, namely to make an attractive CV so that we can stand out among other applicants. The second stage is an online test in the form of a simple coding test. Next, there are user interviews that discuss technical questions related to IT and HR interviews. Kak Jefri also said that the more active you are in speaking, the better because it shows that the applicant seems to have mastered his field. In addition, we must also be alert and stay focused during the interview. The fourth stage, namely medical check-up, includes tests of vision, hearing, and so on. After completing these stages, the final step that will be taken by the applicant is a job offer.
Jefri continued by briefly discussing the Server Admin process, namely from plan, buy, install, deliver, to control. Windows or Redhat? Both are the main OS used by BCA. There are about 2,700 Windows servers and 2,500 Redhat servers. Jefri's session ended by informing the location of the BCA data center in Indonesia, namely in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Cibitung which will soon be opened. Before proceeding to the second session, there was a question and answer session for Jefri. The questions asked were quite varied, ranging from questions about IT to the world of work at BCA.
